The Blessings behind Obedience
Dear friends,
God is so faithful. There is a lot we can say about God in the light of the Word, but there is something that personally blessed my life so much since I received some insight on it – It is His faithfulness.
Faithfulness is something that I always used to search for in people, and very often I have been disappointed by them.
Probably I have also disappointed someone in the course of my life, because none of us are perfect in our own strength.
There has always been in the heart of man an hunger, a desire, a search for integrity and faithfulness in others. It is like - we need to know we can trust someone in our lives, we need to know there is someone greater then us in the other side that we can go to when we need help, comfort or a friend.
Well, a have a good and bad news for you .
The bad news is that our expectations on others are sometimes so high that even we cannot meet it and so there is no human being able to meet 100% our various needs. Not even one. Not even your best friend or your spouse. That’s why sometimes we get so easily disappointed by others and we get upset and feel frustrated. Because we are asking someone, or searching in a person, something that only God can give us.
We are made in such a perfect way, that we know deep in our heart that there is a creator and a father that we need to get aquainted with. We are designed to have a relationship with him. Deep in our heart we are in search for Him because we know there are needs in our existence that need to be met.
The good news is that God knew we would need that and made a way for us to get to Him: the source of our life. Last week someon gave me their definition of death. I think it is really interesting in this context. He said, death is separation from the source.
What does it mean? What kind of death are you talking about Francesco? I am talking about death in the inside of a person. We were created by God to walk with Him, talk with Him, stay with Him, speak with Him and always rely on Him. All these purposes are deeply rooted in our life. Because of our desire to “doing it my way”, there is now a tendency for disobedience in humans, where we lost all of it on Adam and Eve, are forefathers.
God gave them the opportunity to walk and talk and live with him by simply obeying and keeping his ways of doing things. Yet they chose to disobey. And because of their disobedience we inherit this emptiness in the inside.
They chose to walk away from God and cut Him off from their lives. We inherited that. They probably assumed they could make it without the source and went their own way. We as human beings have always been in love with the “Frank Sinatra idea” of doing it my way. Therefore, because of disobedience we all inherited spiritual death (separation from God, the source of real life). Some may say, where is the good news?
The good news is that God made a way where it seemed to be no way! The way is open and the way is avaliable, and his name is Jesus Christ.
Heb 10:20 Jesus has opened a new and living WAY for us to go through the curtain. (The curtain is his own body.)
Joh 14:6 Jesus answered him, “I am the WAY, the truth, and the life. No one goes tot he Father except through me.”
He is the one that said, “I am the way to the true life and to freedom!” He is everything I need today, tomorrow and for the rest of my days. I discovered in my life that he wants to be friends with me, he wants to be close to me. He wants to listen to my heart, and he is willing to spend time with me and in all of this he is faithful and able to meet every expectation I may have, or to help me overcome every need I may face.
He is just that kind of God that everybody wants!
Oh my friend if you just dare to believe him he will prove himself faithful to you!
God is a faithful God and every time you come close to him you feel his presence, you know he is there for you! It doesn’t matter about your past, it doesn’t matter what your social status is to him. You are the one that matters to him.
Somebody one day chose to disobey him and leave him behind, but through obedience to his word you may get back what you were born for! A life with a purpose! His word says that whosoever will come to him he will not cast him away, so why don’t you call him right now, exacly where you are and tell him- I am willing to obey you as my Lord and Savior of my life. Fill me from the inside out with the true life, you are my source! God is able to wash away all your mistakes, all your faults, even those that you got by inheritance and he will help you through all your weaknesses and you will overcome them.
He is a perfect God and a perfect Father. He is what I need in this life and I don’t need anything in this life that he doesn’t want me to have. I trust Him, he is a good God! He wants the best for me and you. Every step of obedience we take toward him will always lead us to his will for our lives.
- His will is that we may enjoy life to its fullest.
- His will is that you and your family shall be saved.
- His will is that goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.
Yes sometimes life itself may try to throw something bad against you, but God is faithful and just to accomplish every good work he started in your life. Even though you may face giants, he will never leave you alone. Do you want this kind of God in your life?
I want it. I want him more than anything else. I pray that He will open your eyes to see through the scriptures and through your heart that what I am telling you is a reality!
