Youth Ablaze event in Wales with Francesco Basile.
The event kicked of with some rocking worship, songs full of praise to God, fuelled with fire. As the people gathered, expectation rose, and so it was that when my good friend Francesco Basile rose to his feet, the people, about 150 in total, were waiting to hear what God had to say.
Francesco was fuelled up and fired up, and as always, full of faith. A quick teaching and preaching and then faith rose in people’s hearts as he related to the hungry crowd some of his experiences with God. He preached on the anointing and as he came to the end, the anointing was evident. God showed up.
The altar call was made, and initially, only one teenage girl came forward, but as we prayed and waited, that young girl was quickly followed by many more. At one point, I believe that there were more people out the front of the church receiving from God that there were still in their seats. We were quite unprepared for the response that came, but there are times when God loves Holy Ghost chaos!
The exact figures are not yet known as the young people will meet in their local churches this week, but my initial estimation is that 5 - 10 people gave their lives to Christ with around a further 30 or 40 asking for prayer, as they wanted to receive a touch from God. I believe Saturday night was a breakthrough for Youth Ablaze in South Wales, God got the glory, and God used Francesco to make the difference.
People are still talking about that night, people quoting some things he said, and excited more than ever, about the future. We thank God for you Francesco, for your time, and what you bring so clearly from God and his word. Keep running the race, and obeying His voice and then you’ll see Italy come to Christ, one by one. Italy, look after this man of God.
